Precision Dentistry with Modern Technology
When you seek care at Compass Dental, you can feel confident knowing Dr. Callstrom and his team utilize modern dental technology to enhance comfort, precision, efficiency, and overall patient experience. From digital imaging to same-day restorations, our technology helps us provide high-quality care with greater accuracy and fewer appointments.
Dentists, dental therapists, and hygienists also uses magnification eye-wear to enhance precision during treatment and high-quality air-driven handpieces to help minimize vibration and noise for a more comfortable experience.
Digital Scanning Technology
Compass Dental uses advanced digital scanning technology to create highly accurate 3D images of your teeth and bite without the need for traditional, messy impressions. Instead of uncomfortable trays and impression material, a small handheld scanner captures detailed digital images quickly and comfortably.
Digital scanning improves precision and efficiency during treatment planning for crowns, restorations, and other dental procedures. The technology also helps reduce the need for adjustments and remakes while improving overall fit and comfort.
Patients appreciate the faster, cleaner, and more comfortable experience compared to traditional impressions.
Same-Day Crowns with In-Office Milling Technology
Our advanced in-office milling technology allows Dr. Callstrom to create custom same-day crowns right here in our office. Instead of waiting weeks for a dental lab to fabricate a crown, many restorations can now be designed, created, and placed in a single visit.
This technology helps reduce treatment time while improving precision and convenience for patients. Same-day crowns also eliminate the need for temporary crowns and additional appointments in many cases.
With digital scanning and milling technology working together, patients can enjoy a faster and more streamlined restorative experience with beautiful, natural-looking results.
Digital Radiographs (X-Rays)
Dr. Callstrom chooses carefully how and when radiographs (x-rays) are taken, including panoramic images. There are many guidelines that we follow to minimize radiation exposure. Radiographs allow us to see things we cannot see with our own eyes.
Radiographs enable us to detect cavities between teeth, determine bone levels, analyze bone health, examine roots and nerves, diagnose lesions such as cysts or tumors, and assess damage caused by trauma.
Compass Dental utilizes advanced digital imaging technology throughout the office. With digital imaging, exposure time is significantly reduced compared to traditional radiographs while also providing enhanced image quality and diagnostic detail.
Digital imaging software also allows us to easily store patient images and quickly transfer them to specialists or insurance companies when needed.
Intraoral Digital Cameras
Dr. Callstrom utilizes intraoral digital camera technology to help patients better understand their oral health and treatment recommendations.
An intraoral camera is a very small camera used inside the mouth to capture highly detailed images of teeth and surrounding tissues. These clear, close-up images can be viewed instantly on a computer screen, helping patients visualize dental conditions and better understand their diagnosis and treatment options.
Intraoral images are securely stored within our office systems for future reference and ongoing care.
