Tooth Replacement

This page is currently under development. Please check back later for information about Tooth Replacement.

All of your teeth play an important role in speaking, chewing and in maintaining proper alignment of other teeth. Tooth loss doesn’t necessarily have to occur as you age, but if you do lose teeth they should be replaced to maintain proper function of your mouth. Fortunately, there are options for correcting tooth loss. Dr. Callstrom will work directly with each patient to explain the options thoroughly and help settle on the best decision for each individual.

Tooth replacement options include:

  • Implants: singular artificial teeth permanently placed by an oral surgeon
  • Bridges: artificial teeth attached to adjacent teeth to “bridge the gap”
  • Dentures: a device that replaces several or all teeth while also providing support to the cheeks and lips
