This page is currently under development. Please check back later for information about Restorative Dentistry.
Restorative dentistry refers to various procedures performed by the dentist to treat areas of decay and prevent further damage. We want you to keep those teeth as long as you can, and sometimes they need a little help! Click on any of the bulleted items below to learn more.
Restorative procedures include:
- Fillings: Removing the area of decay and filling the tooth with either amalgam or composite material.
- Crowns: When a tooth is too damaged to repair with a filling, Dr. Callstrom may choose to remove the majority of the tooth and replace it with a crown.
- Root Canal Therapy: When the nerve tissue inside a tooth becomes infected, that tissue can be removed to prevent pain and decay.
